Creativity, in the real world, involves just as much "in the box" thinking as "out." I believe that some of the best ideas in design begin with an "out of the box" approach that is reigned in and blended with several levels of meaning.

I take pride in my work being clean, cutting edge, and purpose-driven; however, I don't allow pride to get in the way of the design process. Over the years, I've learned that when you release ownership of a good idea, great things can happen.

I’ve learned the rules of design, but my greatest strength within communication is how to break those rules effectively.

It is my belief that if a designer cannot accept constructive criticism, they should be placed in a large burlap sack and beaten with hammers. The only exception: if, and only if, that designer is me, and I have worked really, really, really, hard on that particular project.
